    Karen is a Clinical Social Worker, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with additional training in Positive Psychology and Art Therapy. Karen has over 30 years’ experience supporting individuals, couples and families to have happier relationships and increased emotional and physical wellbeing.

    Karen is highly experienced in the provision of EAP Services to Industry and Government Agencies, including support following Critical Incidents, Trauma and Psychological Injury in the workplace. Karen has designed and delivered staff training related to dealing with challenging workplace behaviours and performance management and has significant experience in helping staff and managers to have difficult conversations.

     Karen also has extensive experience working in educational settings including schools, TAFE Colleges and University and is happy to see students and staff including school aged children and teenagers experiencing social anxiety, family conflict, family separation, school related issues (attendance, bullying) and their family members. 

     Karen is registered to provide services under Medicare and can see clients referred with Mental Health Care Plans, she also supports participants and their families who have NDIS Plans. Karen provides services to clients via Telehealth (Zoom, phone, FaceTime, whatever works for her clients). 

     Karen is experienced in a variety of therapeutic modalities and adapts her skills and experience to suit individual clients. Positive Psychology, Mindfulness based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Solution Focussed Therapy are her favourite strategies to help clients help themselves.

     When she is not working Karen spends her time walking on the beach near where she lives, riding her e-bike, or reading and drinking coffee.
