How many sessions are necessary for me to feel OK?


Acceptance and Commitment Therapy can be quick, with some clients only needing 2 – 4 sessions to meet their treatment goals. Others may require up to 8 sessions. There is no ‘set number’ of counselling sessions. Every person attending counselling does so for different reasons, so the number of sessions is determined by your individual needs, how you are coping and functioning, and the topics you wish to discuss.

At ACT Curious we care about our clients and aim to provide a service that responds to their needs. After you have been discharged from treatment, you may want a booster session; or if for other reasons you have stopped therapy and would like to return; we will strive to offer you an appointment within 1 or 2 days.
