Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)

A free, confidential counselling and wellbeing service funded by your employer.

ACT Curious provides confidential counselling and wellbeing services through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This free, professional and confidential service is funded by your employer or organisation and is designed to support you with any personal or work-related challenges that may be affecting your wellbeing.

Sessions can be accessed in person, online (video), or by phone, depending on what feels most comfortable for you. Appointments are available during business hours and early evenings, with 24/7 support for critical incidents or urgent counselling needs. Each session runs for approximately 50 minutes, and the number of sessions you can access depends on your organisation’s EAP arrangement. In most cases, immediate family members are also eligible to use the service.

What can EAP support me with?

Our EAP provides a safe and confidential space to talk about whatever is impacting your wellbeing. Common areas of support include:

  • Stress, anxiety, or low mood
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Work-related concerns such as  conflict, bullying, or change
  • Grief and loss
  • Alcohol or substance use challenges
  • Building resilience, confidence, and coping strategies
How do I access the service?

ACT Curious partners with a wide range of organisations across Australia. If you’re unsure whether your workplace provides EAP access, you can check with your HR, People & Culture, or Wellbeing team. They can confirm your eligibility and provide your organisation’s EAP access code if required.

How do I know if I have access?

If your organisation is partnered with ACT Curious, you can contact us directly to arrange an appointment. New clients will be asked to provide their organisation’s details so we can verify access, and returning clients can simply book using their name and contact information.
